The main objective of the VALOCLAY-CEM project, carried out in collaboration between
ARCIRESA and CTV, is to investigate new active additions for use in the production of
sustainable or low-CO₂-emission cements, including:
- Research into the potential valorization of locally available silico-aluminous by-products
through thermal and mechanical activation technologies, enabling their transformation into
active additions suitable for use in the production of sustainable, low-carbon cements. - Research into cement formulations compatible with these new active additions, seeking
synergistic processes that enhance the overall sustainability of the final product.
